MPC 500 connected to fast track audio to logic express 8

I want to connect my mpc 500 to logic so its can record all the tracks on there so i am able to mix the beat. I connected my mpc 500 to my m-audio fast track ultra through a midi wire, midi in on mpc 500 midi out on FTU. Then i connected the FTU to my logic and hooked it all up the way the akai website said to do http://www.akaipro.com/synclogic and it still doesnt work every time i hit play on logic it syncs up with the mpc 500 but nothing plays on the stereo HELP
