hey all -

I'm trying to figure out how to create a loop inside a waveform, so that the wave will start at the beginning, and loop a section before decaying with the final part of the waveform.

So have the loop section be different from the sample start and end, so that the loop section will 'sustain' for as long as I hold the pad down.

I've read through the manual section several times, and the best I can get is just a looping section that sustains (ie: sample doesn't start at the beginning - it starts with the loop start).

I've tried a bunch of stuff - including changing that "sample start / loop start" setting, but I still can't get it to work. I know it is possible, cuz I've bought 'instruments' where this is working, but feel like I'm just missing something. Tried changing One Shot to Note On. Still not right.

Again: I've read through the manual, and searched thru the Forum, but still can't get the effect I'm looking for. What am I missing?

I'm wondering if anyone here can help me out - it would be appreciated. I'm using the Free JJOS.

Thanks.

The mpc is a drum machine. What you need is a dedicated sampler. No can do on this box dude.

Try to get the loop on, on the trim mode and after that asign the sample to one of the pads.
Now go to Mode+Pad 11 and choose the sample to be NOTE ON and go to Mode+Pad 7 and on the press window when you're on the amp envelope,
choose the decay mode: start and asign how much decay and how much attack you want.

does it help somehow?
if not than you'll have to buy jj os.

AH, changing the decay, so that the loop 'fades' on release of the pad. OKAY! I'll give that a try.

Thanks for the constructive input Self Made. Greatly appreciated. I'll give it a whirl and let you know if it worx out for me.

Thx.
