i am not very sure about this however it looks really good
my question is ~
is it really good when you upgrade your 2500?
and so do i have to download everything from JJOS Ver 3.09 ? to get the JJOS- XL?
i want the JJOS-XL Ver 1.15 since it is the latest version
is it easy to install it to my mpc?

You will not regret upgrading your 2500 to JJOS.

Bear in mind that JJOS-XL isn't perfect for everything - on a couple of things JJOS2 is better - but if you get a password for XL you can also replace it for OS2 at no extra charge. A couple of us (including myself) went to JJ OSXL then went to OS2.
Its very easy to install - you need a CF card - and just copy the image onto it and switch the MPC on while pressing a button (the WINDOW one I think) check your manual to make sure.

I always laugh when these threads come up. There'll be at least one person that'll say "I'm quite happy with the Akai OS, why pay for another? If it ain't broke don't try to fix it!"

The thing is.. it IS broke. JJOS makes the 1000/2500 a far superior machine, capable of so much more than with the Akai OS. Some people try JJ and say they don't like it, probably because they can't INSTANTLY do things exactly the same as they did on the Akai OS. That's the whole point. You will need to learn to do some things differently, but it is so worth it for the improved workflow etc.

For some unknown reason you can only buy JJOS2xl for 2500 (1000 owners can still buy each one individually) which gives you acces to all 3 JJOS versions (but you gotta pay $113, well worth it IMHO)
