What daw do You use to track ur beats?

do you use more than 4 tracks to make beats?
i use somewhere between 5-8 tracks and i actually thought about this product,
but i think id find it annoying not to be able to record all tracks separately at one time, if im not mistaken,
it only record 4 tracks at one time? affirmative?

Roland VS2480. Then I export all tracks as WAVs so that I can mix in Nuendo. Pretty simple really.

if you think that's annoying, you should try reading dark green text on a charcoal colored background :mrgreen:

Logic Studio 8 currently for a DAW.
I've used Logic since version 4.5 and it's always been solid.
Pre-amp is a Millennia STT-1 Origin and the A/D convertors are in the form of a Tascam FW-1884 insert channel. This way the sound bypasses the Pre-amp section of the Tascam unit.
The Tascam has good A/D's. I did a direct comparison of the Apogee Duet vs. the FW1884 and the A/D's sound exactly the same. No one could tell the difference at all.

Check this out.

I use Pro Tools MP via a M-Audio Audiophile 192 card. The 192 card is hooked up to a E-MU 1212M card via s/pdif. My Rane SM82 mixer is then hooked up to the 1212M analog inputs/outputs. The E-MU 1212M card has Digidesign 192 dacs in it which have a dynamic range of 120db. This gives me the Pro Tools HD sound for under $250. I have recorded thru both cards and can easily hear a difference.

Most of my tracks end up having 8-16 tracks when they are finally done-

You're right, you can't record many tracks at once, but it's just a dongle since I got the api a2d. I track though that and sometimes route through a dbx 160a if I need to.

I will be getting a 002r at some point, and will be tracking through a mixer- I bought an Amek BC2 a while back and will be able to track everything out at once, which will be nice.
