Landoe an me already went over this, but just to post it up..
using recycle to chop up and export samples to a folder, and then assigning those samples to pads in mpc maid to create a program works like a champ.

especially if you Jog wheel is DEAD. LOL

What do you mean "make it shorter"? You mean like a sound editor? If so then there's many you can find if you do a search. I personally use Sounforge but there are very good free ones out there too.

Edit: recycle will do the job nicely.

Recycle wont load songs/.wav files longer than 5 minutes. So basically if i came across a song that i wanted to chop up and its 05:35, i have to load that song up to a whole 'nother program just to cut off the extra 35 seconds at the end or beginning of the track, and then load it up Recycle to chop it up.
I've actually been using my video editing software tho Sony Vegas...it kinda favors Soundforge.

what do u mean ?

have you tried creating a .pgm in mpcmaid and loading in JJos1 ?

and what happened?

I dont see why it wont work. Although I can say that every now and then I have an issue here and there with a program created in MPCmaid, but its usually an problem with the wave files used in the program being recognized in the mpc.
So I convert them to basic waves in wavosaur real fast and then recreated and export the .pgm and im good to go.

how do you actually install this on a Mac? it's java so I can't drag it to my applications folder?

I just downloaded mpc 187 or whatever, and it is an actual application...I'd like to get a permanent install on this puppy and get busy when my 2500 comes

Just click on the .jar file and it will load on PC or MAC. Nothing to Install.

Make sure that your JAVA is updated.

Yeah it works, I guess I'll just drag it to the desktop. Just would be nice to have an icon on my dashboard.

When I drop more than one sample into mpc maid, it disperses the samples into different banks (some in bank A, some in B) Is anyone else having this problem? I've just been dragging one by one. Is there any way to assign the samples to different pads once theyre on a pad? Appreciate the help. Bangin program otherwise.

Damm Triple-X thank you sooo much. Since I chop on the computer anyhow, this makes everything much more faster and efficient. Props.

 sh!t it aint like I wrote the program.. haha
I just showed you the way!
and actually, despite the fact that I found mpcmaid and other similar apps by searching for them online, I had seen people mention on this forum prior to that. Like I saw mpcmaid mentioned in other threads and just disregarded it at first, and then when I searched and found it i was like.. OH YEAH.. I have heard of that on the forum.. lol

In any case.. I did explain how to manipulate it in pretty good detail so YOUR WELCOME! ;)

Im checking it now and it seems to be similar to MPC Pad187 which worked wonders for me but i'll give this a try.
