Pads not working?

Sup everyone. I'm having trouble with this used 3000 i got. So i'm able to load a sample to each pad except 3, 7, 11, and 15. Everything else works except that line. I'm new to the mpc and know nothing about this thing. Just got it today and im just feeling it out.

So is there something i can do to fix that or am i f****ed???

sounds to me like a sensor problem.

check to see if the sensor "wires" are properly connected maybe?


rohan or one of those guys could probably tell you how to fix that problem. if the sensors are no more good you can stll get new ones worse comes to worse.

Since the problem pads are in a column, chances are is that that sensor is bad -- the pads are in series so the one at the top is affecting the rest of them.

You can try cleaning the sensors and reseating the connector, but it sounds like you will need to replace the whole sensor sheet. The sensor sheets should be available at any of the Akai repair places.

I just ordered the scsi flash card reader. i paid 600 for the mpc, 165 for new scsi, and now 100 for the pads and sensor sheet. anyone know where i can buy a new skin for the 3000?? i've googled it and no one seems to do it for this model.

but my Pads 3,4,7,11,15 just stopped working
no sending any data....
after I've replaced the backlight in my MPC3000LE

I am desperately searching for the source of the problem
and a solution.

Did you find a solution to your dead pads?
