just recieved my 1k today and before i plug it in and swithing it on i was just wanted to ask some questions.
i tried the search option but had no luck with finding the info i needed.

ok so i got my 1k from the usa, and live in australia, is it simple as just plugging a kettle style plug with australian pins to get going or is there more to it then that. it says that it is 110-240 volts and 50/60 hz do i need to switch something to change it to 240 vac and 50hz witch is australian power requirments for electrical appliances or does it do it automatticly.
or will i need a transformer/converter??

sorry if this sounds stupid to anyone, but ive never had to deal with it before.

thanks in advance soleyone.

You don't have to switch anything, it'll work. I'm in Melbourne, got mine from the US, no problem at all.

no it is not! i have recieved mine from us living here in germany, and was not shure either which power supply to use. but i guess it is cheaper for akai(and others) to build one power unit for all countries. good for us, not like 5-xx years ago! ever smelled a sweet bubbling circuit :o ??
