Propellerhead Record!!

cant wait to try it myself so i can use reason again to^^

We're onto the second page of this thread and no one has yet said "Reasons"!

I've beta tested it for a few days and I realised that not having vst's only makes the software sequencer expandable on their terms which means you might now see vst support until 2.0.....So if you are strictly software sampling then you are stuck with using reason and their built in effects. At the 300 dollar pricemark, you could probably buy reaper instead and get a whole lot more practical features instead of reason integration and a bright new graphical user interface.

Reason ,Record, Recycle. I love em all.

Oh and I didnt ment that YOU own such stuff. But we are on a forum called MPC Forum and most of the users here use the 2000 or 2000xl. And even if they use the 1000 or 2500. Its still old technology (16bit for example).
I just wanted to show you that the aspect "old technology" doesnt matter here.

Fact is: Propellerhead pursues a non flexible, non-user-friendly strategy. Same with recycle (they give licences to other for reading the rex format but not to write it) but thats no wonder cause if they would give "write licence" recycle wouldn't sell anymore. But still. This is the opposite of user orientated.

And thats the point I criticize. I cant really judge about the software itself. I just did a short tryout on reason a few years ago but didn't liked it (just my opinion). For recycle: ok it has some nice features but there are other programs that do a better job. For example sliceX. Good thing about it: It is a slicetool and the actual sample player at the same time. So no switching between software is needed.

people really hate that reason has no vst,, haha, i dont mind, reason has everything i could possibly need, but I can understand if ur use to certain vsts.. i cant wait for this program, im surprised we aint on page 100 yet, come on guys, this is way bigger then the beat thang!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

on another note that is the price of the btv, we should hold a vote on which on is better quality.. btv or record,, hey atleast record had beta testers and they not trying to blow smoke up anyones ass

it seems to be more for bands using live instruments
for my hip hop at least i dont need any of that
i play guitar in a band too so maybe that would come in handy, but i mean, honestly garageband gives me everything i need

With these Linux programmers decoding everything that drops (and even de-bugging them and making them cross-platformed and more user friendly and powerful) and making it freeware why are we having this discussion? not trying to step on toes, just keeping it 100. can't wait til they fix SWEET THING VIRTUAL so I can laugh at everybody that shelled out for a sub-alpha program. one.
