Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

Hey guys, I'm using Blue Box to set my samples up and make a program. It's pretty convenient but I'm having some trouble with the bulk sample load. When I do bulk sample load, the MIDI triggers conflict with the other triggers on different pads. Although they seem to work fine even when in the 500, but the trouble comes when i start recording my samples. They all sound good while recording... but when I play it back, its like every pad is loaded with ONLY the 1st sample. So its just the same sample being played over and over. I'm sure the conflicting midi triggers in blue box is the culprit, but it always gets that error when I "bulk sample load". I could put the samples into Blue Box one by one, but the work flow is horrible. If its always like this, I'm about to just ditch Blue Box and just load sample folders and change the mute groups and overlap inside the MPC. Thank you for your time!

Thanks for the fast reply inflict3. Yea I'm trying to get my head around this, I tried making the pads chromatic then loading but still the same problem. Damn buggy Blue Box..

It's been awhile, but I seem to remember having some issue with BlueBox mass-loading. That's why I tried MPC Maid this time, and so far it seems to do most things correctly.
