Hi!
First post here.
I'm looking to use my old SP808EX with either MPC500 or MPC1000.
I'm using a lot of odd rhythms 5/4, 7/8, 9/8, 11/8 etc and i don t know if these MPC's can do this... .I searched manuals, forums etc, but could not find anything related.
Thank you in advance

I have the 1000 and I know you can change the time signature from 4/4. I don't have it in front of me, so I don't know all of the different time sig options.

Thank you for your answers!
So, You mean that the MPC 1000 and MPC 500 (or I have to ask the MPC 500 forum for that, maybe) can do at least 2/4 and 3/4, wright? That is OK, 2+2+3 etc, even with my Quasihemidemisemiquaver decent mathematics :) The problem would be to synchronise the MPC as midi slave with the SP808 where i have 34 songs and around 650 samples if is not "recognizing" 7/8, 9/8 etc.

The manuals are available online.

The 500 has a Sequencer parameter called "Time signature".

You can change it for each bar.

You can use all the timings you listed, and many more.

You set both fields independently, like 1/4, to 16/32.
