I need more space!

I am finding more and more that the files I need to save to the MPC are too big for a floppy disk. I tried a ZIP disk but couldn't get it to work?!?! I notice you can get a memory add on. Is it worth getting?

With a zip drive...the standard option for more storage....you need to make sure you have a SCSI one. Parallel post ones have a similar-looking multi pin connector but they don't work.

You can use a SCSI harddrive. Some people on this forum have those & should advise you what to look for....it will only be some old models with storage of less than 1GB that work though.

Extra RAM will give you more space to work with while your MPC is switched on, but it won't store anything when you switch it off.

There is meant to be a Flash ROM or RAM chip you can fit as an internal memory.... but I don't know of anyone who has had it fitted.

wouldn't use the flash rom as you can only save stuff once...

You definitley want a ZIP or Hard drive to store you info. You'll be loading floppies for ever and floppies are slow as hell.

You can find ZIP drives for you MPC on Ebay all day long.

plus flash roms strip your wallet out. grab a scsi zip drive. theyre cheap plus they look dope beside an mpc.
