About to cop one for 975 no tax , 2nd hand from a store, EXCITED as helL!

Just got the 3000 and im already loving the sound!
Looks like a great machine just have to go through that manual lol
hey i can use the standard floppy disk on the machine right? because the guy at the store was tellin me that the mpc 3000 had a specially designed floppy disks only ment for the 3000, thats BS right

i see you just got your baby to lue goods :wink:

everything seems good on the machine except the contrast is pritty shitty compared to the 1000 lol or unless i have a really old machine..

Is the back light on? The contrast button is an on off switch for the backlight. Push it in. It should turn on and off! Congradulations. It's a monster. I've got two 3000's and a 60II with the 3000 software.

yo when i push it down nothing happen, i cant see my screen in the dark at all even during the day i have to break my back and get in on it close

Sounds like you need new backlight foil. The luminescence in these do fade out over time. Most places that sell Akai replacement parts have these as well as places like eBay. There is a thread on a DIY backlight if you search the forums. Good luck!

thanks bro.. one thing i couldnt find in the sample that i have a problem is.. how do i stop my pads from layering when they are in mono, they dont layer them selves..
