Yeah it's bad! haha One of my deciding points was when I went into GC and purposely picked up an MPK then went to an Axiom and picked it up and thought the MPK had to be better based on weight. You know how cats talk about the weight of the SL1200 vs other turns and how that indicates better quality? I have 12's and well that theory doesn't apply to keyboards apparently.
Matter of fact, looking at the MPK there's a 1 inch "lever" gap in front of the keys so say you're carrying it and it slips and you somehow get caught catching it by this gap in the keys...well you've probably managed to compromise the integrity of the plastic "hooks" I mentioned. I think the problem could have easily been avoided if they made those "hooks" out of metal.
Hey, at least your Oxygen keys haven't popped all the way up so it's still playable. Maybe it's not a better design but it's WAY better than having keys lifted 2 inches above every other key.
