Hello,
I have aquestion about working with audio tracks on JJoS2 on my MPC 1000.
If you record a couple of long audio takes, lets' say 4 mins each, then you start messing around with volume levels and pan while you play them back, there is a massive latency in the changes. I.E. I lower the volume on a track and it takes up to 2 seconds for the volume to actually decrease.
Is it a problem wiht my machine or with the audio tracks on JJOS?
I was looking forward to this function, but as it is, it pretty much sucks big time...

Any workaround/cheat/tip?

What mode are you using to adjust the volume and pan of the audio tracks? Are you using automation?

Anyway, here is my tip-- I'm a heavy user of audio tracks. The way I use them is to record my audio with the beat, so I get the timing right and then playback to see how it sounds. I pretty much always end up chopping the audio take and then triggering each part as a sample in a program. You have more flexibility that way, since you can use filters, q-link, tuning, etc...
