Hi There,

I need someones expertise on this matter:) Here's the deal!

I run an MPC1000 with JJOS.1 4.99 version... I am a live drummer running Roland PD8 trigger pads with TMC6 Midi converter etc, now here is my dilemma.

I play to a click live which i have created as "SEQUENCE" Tracks and created my trigger samples as "PROGRAMS".

I load them both up seperately but really want to them to come up both at the same time so they're ready to go.

So, what i tried was saving them both in the "SAVE ALL SEQUENCES & SONGS (.pack) selection, name the file etc

Then when i reload them my click (Sequence) comes up fine and my samples (Program) loads also but it has " ? " in front of it ie ?CAUSE SAMPLES. This means the samples aren't loaded so i have to go in an load it manually.

I hope this makes sense to someone out there who can assist me in sorting this problem.

Appreciate y'all reading this.

Cheers,

Andrew

AWESOME:) IT WORKED Thanks a million but one more question :)

Now when i try to load one after the other they seem to just overwrite each other? meaning when i turn the jogger wheel for the next file nothing appears it just stays on the 1st one selected??

Am almost there, this is already a godsend:)

cheers,

A.

load the .prj (project file) in the folder you saved entire memory to.
This will load up all the samples, sequences, programs that was saved in the folder all at one time.

You can also save the entire memory to a folder named AUTOLOAD on your memory card,
and that will load up your project automatically when you turn on the mpc, as long as that memory card is inserted.

mode+load navigate to project folder, use right arrow to open it to view the files inside, and at the top of the list should be a file named Project with a (.prj) extension, unless you re-named it, but it will still have the (.prj) extension and would still be at the top of the list.

You can re-name the Project file to any name you want to reflect the name of your song..

More help is appreciated "again".

thx,

what that means is, if you load up that Project it will clear out anything already loaded in the mpc and load the Project fresh.

loading a project loads everything in that project folder, therfore whatever you loaded in the mpc before that, will be cleared to make room for the project you loaded.

if you load a .pgm, .wav or a sequence out that project folder you will not see that message. these files can be loaded without clearing ot whats already in the memory.

loading projects clears the memory.

If you want to play different songs when playing live, you should load up all these songs and save that as a project. If it exceeds 128mb then split the live show into two or three sections.

Another alternative is to have each track in its own folder and load the folder, this will load the seqs and pgms contained within.

Try these out they each have there own pros and cons.
