mpc500 keeps resetting

My mpc 500 sometimes resets after i turn it on and play around with the pads for a bit. It restart as soon as i hit a random pad at a random time or something. It happens sometimes and doesnt other but it gets really annoying when it does. Is there anything I can do about this?

does it do this when plugged in or just with the batteries powering it ?

if its when its on batteries, maybe they are shifting around, try to put something like a piece of sponge, or a folded paper towel between the batteries and the battery door.

Your AC plug could be loosely connected and the vibration of striking pads is repowering it up.

thanks for the quick responses. i was afraid something inside my mpc was loose or something but this is much better. i feel kind of dumb now for not going straight to the source of power.
