does anyone know how i can chop samples on the mpc 500 randomly. For example if i had a 30 second sample i could chop it into 16 separate samples all at once randomly. If it doesnt anybody no a program that does chop samples up randomly.

Why would you want to chop up samples randomly? It's unlikely to be useable.

You can get a decent workaround by twiddling dials in the trim section and extracting random sections to each pad.

If you do a search there is a thread in which some people make calculations and when you use those to chop on the 500, you could get what your asking for. I think
