How to transfer finished songs to mp3

How do i take my songs on the mpc and turn them into mp3? currently when i do this via usb it is a totally diff format??????

1. Record the main outs of your MPC into an audio editor or DAW which can export in MP3 format. Try Audacity.

2. Or record the main outs of your MPC to a normal wav file, import to iTunes, burn to CD in MP3 format.

3. make song in mpc, record main out to wav on cf card, usb that wav file to computer, convert to mp3 via any available audio editor.

I record my MPC's outs either into Cubase or Audacity, then Save/Export as .wav, open up into iTunes, then from there you can convert it to .mp3 and/or burn to a cd.

I've been having trouble with this lately. When I record it into my computer, the quality goes way down. I will have a track that sounds real nice coming out of the mpc directly to my speakers. But when I play the song into audacity or ableton, the quality goes to shit. I thought maybe it was the chord i was using, an eighth inch to eighth inch. I have an eighth to quarter converter in the mpc. Or is it just that my computer sucks?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you recording DIRECTLY to your computer, via a 1/8 inch INPUT? If so, I suggest a interface buddy, some (in fact most) record at 96KHZ 24 bit.
