hi i recently bought a 3000le and was wondering what the options are for storage...im used to the more modern ones with hardrives installed (4000, 2500)

Whats the most it could take if i had a compact card reader installed or are there better suggestions or options...also im assuming scsiforsamplers.com is the place to go?

Is it difficult to fit?

Also lastly is the valixi o.s really much better and does anyone recommend it and why...Ive been using most mpcs for years now just sampling and recently had some piano lessons so looking to midi sync the 3000 to my triton just need to be able to save my projects instead of having to track at the end of a session...

heres a mpc vid i made with it

any response muchly appreciated

Not on an MPC60 or MPC3000 "MPCHunter"

MPC3000 disk access limits have been spoken about in the past on this and other forums.

MPC3000 ( OS up to and including version 3.16 ) machines show the disk size based on a maximum 30mb partition limit.

As do os 3.10e equipped MPC60 machines with the SCSI option fitted.

MAX-PART-SIZE = 30
MEG = 1024
PART-TOTAL = 26

(MAX-PART-SIZE x MEG) = 30720
(30720 x PARTTOTAL) = 798720
(798720 / MEG) = 780

Disk size maximum = 780 megabytes.

A connected storage device of say 1 GIG will only be usable to 780 megabytes.

The Vailixi 3.50 os for the MPC3000 can create 32 megabyte partitions so the above details don't hold true.
