Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Somehow I'm losing my sequences when i transfer via computer->zip vice versa. I saved my sequences in the mpc onto the zip drive under the .mid. After saving around 6 sequences or so, i thought it'd be appropriate to backup my work onto my computer. when i load up and view the zip drive on the computer, it has all my programs and samples, but there is only (1) SEQUENCE.mid in the ZIP folder. Is this Sequence.mid supposed to hold all the sequences I've saved? The worse thing is, when put the backed up work on a empty zip then load the sequences into the MPC, there is yet again only (1) Sequence.mid and only one sequence. Where am i losing all my sequences?

MID = 1 sequence.

ie, You'll have to save 5 MID's for 5 sequences.

There are also 2 different types of MID's in the 2kxl.
Learn the difference, it can be critical for tracking
purposes.

word, i save my sequences as a midi type file 1.
the problem im encountering is that i had 5 sequences saved last night, Sequence01.mid, Sequence02.mid, etc.
however, once i loadup the zip on my computer, this shows up.

how come there is only one SEQUENCE.mid ? i saved (6) sequences?

secondly, when i pull the files from a zip into a folder on my computer to backup, then reload it into another zip, the mpc only reads the "SEQUENCE.mid," in the load screen. where did my Sequence01.mid, Sequence02.mid, etc go?
so much work gonee! SHIT

8 character file limit on computers. If mpc filename > 8 computer will cut the name short to 8 characters.
But are u sure you saved every last seq? I only see one that u saved.

yeah, i had completed 6 sequences and individually saved them accordingly; Sequence01.mid till Sequence 06.mid.

i guess when i load up the zip on my computer, i should be seeing 6 different sequence.mid files in there right? if so, that hasn't happened yet.
weird that i save 6 diff. sequences in .mid form and only one shows on the computer when i load teh zip .

ill try to figure this out again

as in try shorter names for the sequences?
so weird that it wouldn't show up at all though, save 6 sequences, and the zip loaded on the computer only shows one sequence. F*CK.

2kxl have been known to have problems with macs every now and again when transferring stuff.
