Direct record

I tried to recoded a rynth from a keyboard in to a sq though ''driect record'' but they dont go in time together . what do i have to do to make the sound i record to go in time with the sq ?

This is the way I do it since I record all my MIDI sequences on the MPC. Select a new track, enable the direct record feature, hit Record, then hit play. Go to Trim, find the newly recorded sample and trim the silent space at the beginning. Assign the sample to the pad and play it into your sequence.

Its pretty much the same process if you're using the keyboards sequencer to record the synth pattern. Just enable the direct record feature, hit record, then hit play on the keyboard.

so what is the different between recod-in and driect record?
