MPC 60 Note Cutoff?

when you are using Note Cutoff on your 60, is there a way to hit the pads for the notes you want to Cutoff or do you have to dial it in?

it seems like the only way to do it is to dial it in. on my 2000XL i could hit the pad for the notes i wanted to Cutoff.

not that big a trade off for that sound and swing, just didn't know if i was missing something.


also

any sugestions on how to get the sample to not play out fully? if i hit a pad and don't want the sample to play all the way out before going back an editing it, i hit sound 5, it takes me to the sample screen and stops the sample from playing out, then i hit main screen to get back to work.

MPC 60 Family, it's on now!!!

"mono/poly/note off" functionality is only available with OS version 3.10e...



if you have the OS upgrade, then it should be in the manual...




also...


in some of these older machines i find that you can cut off samples playing out the same output... the "mono" function isnt really in the OS as a function, its in how you assign the sounds to the multiple outs...


not sure if this would work in the pre-3.10e OS version 60 or not... nor the intracacies of this technique when wanting the same sample to cut itself off, although 2 versions of the same sample sounds like an idea...


but yes... since you are asking this question, im assuming you dont have 3.10e OS installed in your 60... am i wrong?!?!!

I got 3.10 os installed. Just got the 60 fresh from Forat.

i mean when i'm assigning pads to cut each other off, is there a way to just hit the pads that you want, instead of dialing it in ?

when you're doing the note cutoff, you have to dial in the pads that you want to cut each other off. you can just hit the pads like you do on the XL.
