^^^ (jamon)

You're probably speaking to people in general and what you are saying is more than valid.

Personally I have never bashed it and always said it was a good concept.

I will leave it at that.

BAck to topic. The fact that you are asking people in the forum about its release date is almost pointless.

All anyone can do is speculate. The only person who can tell you is someone from Beatkangz and they don't seem to be capable of doing that accurately or even honestly.

It is obvious that their approach has you somewhat worried.

Not asking here if it's delayed really, I emailed Aja. It's just the next segment in the Beat Thang soap opera. It's entertaining gossip, and valuable info for people who did or are planning on buying. If they were counting on having it early October, they may have to replan some things.

My preorder was from August 8th. You have to understand that back then a lot of the info about the Thang was not available. It took me ordering to get my hands on the info, and now it's a different story. I probably wouldn't preorder one today, it'd be better to wait and see.

Also, besides all the info I uncovered about the Thang, there have also been 2 new product announcements of samplers that will be shipping before the Beat Thang. That changes things also, since the Thang now has more competition than when it was mostly just the MPC.

Not all question marks are to be taken as literal questions. If someone goes to buy concert tickets and there's a sign that says "SOLD OUT", and the person next to you says, "It's sold out?", do you turn to them and say, "Yes"? That's silly, it's just an expression like, "Wow, really? What's going on here?".

If you read the original post, it is a telling of a story, like a news chronicle. It is the reporting of something, and an open-ended question to be answered by further investigation, which I did. I wasn't literally asking MPC Forums if it's delayed, how would anyone here know anything more than me?

This thread got derailed though, and should be locked. All the Beat Thang threads end up needing to be locked. The microSAMPLER thread is fine, stays on topic, and is growing long. But any mention of Kangz and people's blood boils. They're successful trollers to ignite such emotion in people.

I feel like maybe I should buy a Beat Thang tee shirt, let it sit in my closet for a couple of years, and then start wearing it when I play out.

using a "beat thang" tee as a cum-rag would probably be more true to it's name...

Upgrade? Where's the trial? Shouldn't that come first?

Probably not, if they keep it quiet for now it's like a beta test session, except people pay to participate.
