hello

i've tried yesterday an used mpc1000 in a shop, and i liked it, was like new, with enough responsive, soft rubber pads.

is it a v2 or is a v1? how to know that? there's some id code?

another question, all the new mpc now are v2? because most of shops don't say anything about v2 in the description.

thanks

All mpc 1000s with a serial of bk-n have the new pads but you can still get some old bk's with the new pads. Wiggle one of the pads and if the other move a fraction then its the new pads.

you should use the search fumction, as this has been asked over a million times. BK-N#####
Touch 1 pad, they all move, you good. If it stays stationary, they suck. Also first run red and blue have good sensors, second run have bad ones. Pad sensor replacements(which are faulty, not the actual PADS) run 180 dollars at mpcstuff.com, 175 at vst service.

v2 refers to the OS installed, not the pads... the "version" doesn't really make a difference since you can upgrade the OS yourself. the pads are the only thing you have to worry about.
