Just copped a used 2500 a couple of months ago. Pads 4, 8, 12, 16 (right column) and 3. 7. 11, 15 (2nd column to right) just recently starting flipping out on me. For example, I'll have all my pads assigned to separate samples and I'll try to trigger pad 4 and it will play pad 12 instead. It actually seems to play pad 12 or pad 16 every time I try to trigger any of the surrounding pads. I can't even get to the sample screen in program mode by pressing the pads, it will display the correct one for a split second and then revert to pad 12. Its almost as if 12 and 16 are stuck (cosmetically the pads look and feel normal). I have to use the jogwheel to get to the correct pad assignment and modify it in program mode. I'm thinking i need to replace the pad sensor sheet, but I hope not. Never had to deal with this on my 2000 classic from 96 so I'm not sure where to start. Does anyone know of an easy fix? Is it a software issue? Can I readjust my sensor sheet? Any help would be much appreciated.

This problem happened to me just a few months ago.. I am not sure how I fixed it but as soon as I remember (or look it up in my past posts), I will get you the info. If I do remember correctly though, I opened her up and cleaned the pads and sensors (I think). I'l get back to you bud...good luck.
