you mean to tell me that they didn't even have basic transport functions before this update?

that is like buying a car without wheels and seats.
By Jamon Sat Sep 19, 2009 8:07 pm
All the functions were listed here:
http://jamon.name/bke+beat+thang#schema

That's why I was saying it's nowhere near ready. It's not that I was blindly attacking, it's just missing a lot of basic stuff. There's no MIDI editor either. Not even a basic list of events you can edit. Nothing.

If you look at their last product, it becomes clear that the Beat Thang was primarily a ROMpler. It comes with sounds, and a basic way to play/record them. Then they added stuff on top.

All the Beat Thang fan boys saying:
"Its not at its full potential but one day it will be... One day..."

Yall can keep waiting on that one day while I keep dropping heat on my MPC2500 + JJOS2

Nothing major:

Virtual Beat Thang
1.0.5

NOTE: There are known install issues with Windows Vista 32 and 64
bit systems. This updater may not install with your Vista system. We
are currently working on a fix.

Sounds like a killer upgrade...

daamm everytime a tread starts about the beat thang its filled with hate!!

it feels like the hiphopcommunitie invent the hating!!

you can criticize but please constructive!!be man not a lil child..

its their first release ....take a look at akai or other companys for example everytime they release something it always has some bugs...is cause the its getting komplexer and komplexer!!!a hardware gear 2009 has more features then back in the 90!!!it is more to program so the chance that something goes wrong is bigger!!!
look at the akai 5000 os 1.0?nearly useless....

think about it...

hey, maybe somewhere out there there's a you tube video of akai executives jumping around on the furniture shouting 'it gorra cost ya !' as well...

but Im damned if I've seen it...

Maybe the product will get better in time - but they've set themselves up for this by belittling the competition for no reason.

On another note - all this bullsh*t about 'haterz' is getting f**king tiresome as well. Let me know when this forum becomes a place when no-one is allowed to make an observation and I'll be happy to look somewhere else. Bet I won't be the only one.

Perhaps a bit less ass-kissing and self-congratulation would pull hip-hop out of the sorry state its in today.

"Don't fear the hate - the hate makes you great."
