Frozen

Was beginning to feel hopeful, 2500 + JJ OS2XL does more of what I wish the 500 could do. It felt more solid, ready to produce.

Just getting started learning to master this, was working on an instrument program, trying to make rich sounds with only a few samples.

Had something, went to a new sequence to record something with it to see how it sounds in a melody. Frozen. Reminiscent of the 500.

It seems like a never-ending search for tools that just do their job without getting in the way. Now I can't make anything on the 2500 without fear it'll vanish at any moment.

Nothing you buy will ever work perfectly.

Os2xl froze various time on my 1000, now i´m back at OS2, never had a problem.

I know it´s a shame but i gave up on JJ to release the "perfect" os. OS1 and 2 are stable, though.

i had lots of freezes with 1.15, but did a factory reset and had no problems since. You should try it.

What about 1.16? I think many have problems with that version. And i´m not interested in 1.15...

There might be a BUG with certain instrument programs in 2XL. Mine froz 1 time and I was using an instrument .pgm.

ill upload it and see how get on. feature wise there isnt much differnce as far as im aware.. if 1.16 is too buggy why not use 1.15 until JJ's next update?- assuming JJ knows the problems people are having via bug reports

One word -> simult.

I will try again when i have some spare time, it really sucks starting new projects/converting old ones just to run into crashes after hours of work.

1.15 has the simult 1 and 2 option

i think im going to load up 1.17 and see how i get on with that.

The 2500 froze on me last weekend. I'm still on the free JJOS, which still has a few bugs.

i have got 1.17 and it freezes all the time. last time i was near to throw it out of the window.... (or reflash...)

yeah.. Im actually working on parts swaps between two mpc 2500's right now so that when I am done I can finally Pay for my Password for OSXL.. but I actually plan on using OS2, from all that I have read.

I think it blows that us 2500 guys cant just pay for the os version we want like the 1000 guys.

but I have been using 3.09 for a couple months now, and have had NO freezes ever.
wait I take that back.. ONCE during a Sample Purge.
