Wow. There is a long list of bugs and feature requests. Then recently someone has been posting this problem where a long sample doesn't play on multiple forums. Within hours there is a new update specifically for him? What did he write in the email to get such immediate priority? It'd be nice if all the other requests were met with such instant reward.

no doubt!

my guess is that it was an easy fix, and JJ thought it was a serious enough bug to warrant an immediate update.
but yeah, it would be nice to see at least some of that backlog of bugs & requests get some attention.

Do we need what the differences are?
I downgraded from 2Xl to 2 as it was crashing on me too often, but if worth it, I might download and go back

There's probably so little money left in the advancement of the os that he's slowly backing away from it altogether. That's his choice...

Be thankful for any updates we get.

xl is definitely unfinished. and if jj is selling beta versions like full fuctioning software I expect him to kill all (big) bugs in the future even if all money has gone. i'm not talking about adding new features.

haha, i think we should care less about some os-updates but about making music, right?
You're all just checking for Updates every day cause you have nothing better to do with your mpc!

This is a good example:

NOTES VANISH in Pattern View, 2XL (and OS2)

The notes disappear with NO WAY to undo. Here's how to duplicate:

-Sequence a drum pattern with notes that are far off the normal grid, such as 1/16 triplets.
-Enter drum grid
-Hold shift and press F3 to enter Pattern View (or just press window in OS2)
-Sequenced notes that were far off the grid-GONE FOREVER.

Can't make music if there's bugs. I only had OS2XL for a couple days before it froze on me.
