Well.... hmmm....
Just an update.
As many of you know I've been workin my ARSS off to find a solution.
I've been working off schematics and datasheets of the original screen and 8 Bit microcontroller IC
I had found a screen that worked somewhat but displayed some random characters at times and did funny things with the graphical lines and other elements like shading and whatnot, so I continued working with it to try to make it fly.
Then I though of a mod that might have made it work.
Well... I smoked contrast control on one...... smoked (LITERALLY) another screen, and finally destroyed a main board.
I'll keep at it, just need a new donor machine now since I just smoked this one bummer
Anyone wanna buy a clean beige unit, or a SE-1 special edition with a few beige buttons?
hahaaaaa... they're both fine.
I do need another machine now tho.... or at least most of one.... danmnmit!!!!!!!!!!
Oh well..... I willing to make sacrifices to figure this out......
On another note, I might be close to being able to repair defective screens..... we'll see when the product arrives, and if I'm able to perform the necessary work with my equipment here
