Aight.. Finally.. Despite the fact that Im NOT done.. Let me go ahead and wake this thread back up.

I got my White LCD in, and also wanted to try out some non OEM LEDS on the Q-Link Board since I figured its cheap to replace the Q-Link board if the LEDs are not good, or fry it, etc. But the install went over without a hitch.
New additions are, the White LCD, 4 White LEDs on the Q-Link Board, Black cursor, Black Data Wheel, Black Knobs (but the same know tops) and lastly a Black CF card slot. I still plan on some other Black buttons, and doing the rest of my LEDS in white.

ummm wut else...OH...the pics aint great.. and I need to take some better ones with a different camera, but despite that, they are LARGE so Im pasting thumbnails you can click on so the forum page doesnt stretch out and all that crazy ish.
so here yea go. opinions? the shots are before.. before w/ LEDS on.. 3 after shots, after in the dark shot, and the LCD

Nice screen. That looks nice...
Honestly though how is the white screen on the eyes?

Im all about that green so I like my screen the way it is but if I was to ever change it I would go blue.

Nice revive on the thread.

actually Ex.. I like the white SO much better than the green. the green was a little annoying for me after several hours staring at it. Fatiguing I guess U could say.. I noticed every now and then that I would get head aches. nothing serious, just mild ones. something about it not being bright enough i think.. and having to strain my eyes to focus on certain areas of it I suppose. Im NOT a fan of LIGHT TEXT on a dark background when it comes to MPC screens, so the 5000 screen for example, and the Blue LCD for the 1k n 25k are a no go for me, despite the fact that I really like the look of the Blue lcd(reversed polarity in blue would work tho). But the White is definitely just a bit brighter, but easier to view because the Dark text actually stands out better on a white background than it does a Green background IMO. I can honestly say it feels EASIER to look at.
But I need to spend more time with it and see. I have always had perfect vision too.. just a side note.

in any case.. i plan on finishing with the black buttons, etc and also doing the rest of the LEDS in white.
I cant wait to see your Red pads Tax. I also cant wait to see someone do one in Blue pads.. I think Blue pads, Blue LCD and Blue LEDS with ALL black buttons and knobs would be sidick as fiduck!!!
But before I did these mods, I had planned on doing a Blue LCD and Blue LEDS, or leaving the Red LEDS and maybe doing a Red screen.. that is, until I actually SAW a pic of the red screen.. EWWWW
What I really like about the lcd and leds on mine, is it looks future to me.. like headlights on a benz.. it has that mild blue tint like High intensity discharge lights. Sick to me!!

and B.r.. nah.. the LEDS are pretty much the same brightness, if not maybe even slightly dimmer than the akai white (open window) button. but the red ones are pretty much the same brightness wise, despite the illusion that the red are a tad darker, its only because red is a darker color. With the lights off, and the LEDS on. the brightness appears the same.

Thanks for the Compliments everyone. I love how it looks, and cant wait to do more. Im trying to think of what else I can do. Something with the sides maybe. I dunno?

Thanks for the info.

Yeah I still gotta do minor add ons to mine but just been to busy to get started with it.

Im also in the works of trying to get green pads from MPCStuff. They dont make green but Im trying to come up with a reasonable price for Custom ones made just for me.

You could try buying some white or light grey pads, and try dyeing them GREEN, Should work out ok, A good dye should have no problem soaking in to the MPC Pads. Good luck!

i got mine from www.mpcstuff.com . Just do a search for the data wheel in the search bar, cus it doesnt seem to come up when you just look up 2500 parts.

Peace.
