8 outs wit a motu

i was thinking about copping a motu 828mk2 i thinks and it has 8 analog ins could i just mix by assigning the mix out and like hit record on my computer and play on da mpc and record the mpc

Yes, those MOTU's have 8 analog ins & outs. You might need some sort of software mixer to properly use the 8 outs of the MPC though, so you can use plug-in EQs, compressors & effects.
