BUT the beathingy IS a software based sampler. Like the MV, just the MV leans more to a hardware perspective.
The MPC, ASR-X/PRO, ASR 10, EPS/16, RS7000 are all hardware based. Meaning, the beathingy relies on software, and a software based OS, whereas the others are mainly self contained and original operating systems. Its like comparing a triggerfinger. Completely different thing, dude. I gree when its said that if you had reason on a netbook and an mpd, it would probably outperform a beathingy. But the fact that they crammed it all into a box minus a keyboard and mouse makes it much more expensive.What your really paying for is convenience, not versatility.
The Beat Thang(beathingy, new name for it) is in a catagory of its own. inus alot of featurs an MPC has, plus alot of others. It really is unfair to compare them, especially as we have no user reviews from the general public.
