Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Okay, so lets say I wanted a drum program with banks 1-4 filled with drum sounds, then i wanted another program filled with auto chromatic assigned notes. How can I do this so I can record a sequence with the drums then switch to my auto chrom. program and play the melody over the sequence I created with the drums? I must be overlooking something. :?

thank you

look up under the track number where it says drum 1 move that to switch to the different drum programs (u can do that for each track)

I've got the classic 2000. I can only play one program at a time. How many can you use simultaneously on an xl?
