Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

I already have a Roland SP-606, it can hold a butt load of samples on the memory card, but the sampler itself will only recognize 200 mono samples, or 100 stereo samples(Depending on there length and/or size).I can get about 75 in stereo on it before it says its memory is full. So i plan on buying the AKAI ??? MPC 500, but, I can't find out how many samples it holds.I know in the MPC 1000 and up u can do a hard-drive upgrade. So i need to know if that's possible on the 500, or just how many samples it can hold. Thanks

there are 48 assaignable pads per program,
maximum amount of programs for each project is 24.
Further on, each pad can hold 2 samples simultaniously

Sampler Recording Time:

•136sec [16MB/MONO]
•24min 28sec [128MB/MONO]

the amount of samples varies of how much sample time is used up

polyphony= up to 32 depending on processing

+ you can also load in new samples wile working on a project..
