Mpc 500 user, inquiring about mpc 1000

Hey, so ive been using the mpc500 for almost a year, made a bunch of beats, surprised myself at how capable it is of making some serious tracks, but im at a fork in the road

my question is, if i were to go to the 1000, (say 2500 too because i believe using the 1k and 25k would be both similar in the jj os area) would i have a hard time getting the hang of the way the 1000 works? i first thought my 500 was broken, till a week or 2 later teaching myself every step led me to make some beats finally, but i mean, i know enough about the 500 and im used to its system that i kinda feel like if i bought a 1000 id get frustrated and annoyed because its alot different than the 500. orrrrr, i could buy the 1k and id get the hang of it and itd be a dream

how easy is it to get a hang of, coming from someone whos learned the ways of the 500 you think...

You'd be just fine. The basic principles of all the MPC's are the same. Get your samples, edit them, assign them to pads and make beats. Each model has its own perks but if you got the .5k down then the 1k will come fairly easy as long as you crack open that manual and get some of that good old JJOS love.
