this is a Teac 235-HF but of a different model than the two that I have that work...I can't figure out how to jumper this thing, plus I have huge hands/fingers and I'm getting really frustrated

this one has a beige bezel and if you notice it has an extra spot for jumpers unlike the popular black ones

I only have two of those plastic jumpers left

thanks in advance!

The 3000 series of TEAC drives were custom made for a bunch of different manufacturers so the jumper settings change frequently.

Have you tried these configurations on the datasheet below.

http://www.teac.com/DSPD/pdf/3fd0020a.pdf

If those settings don't work, your best bet would be to trace the jumpers back to the where the ribbon connects and see if you can identify where the DS and RDY lines are. You will also need to enable the HF setting as the 3000 can ready both high and double density disks.
