HELP ME: my screen has turned really grey

i was making beats, as you do and then my screen kinda flashed with a dark line through it and now my screen is really dark grey i can still trough it but its kinda a real pain in the ass. its like the contrast has been turned way down on it.

Can anyone help?

can you take a picture to confirm and show the issue?

is your 1000 still under warranty by chance?

the older mpcs had inverters in them, which is basically a backlight. But Im not sure that the new ones do.
I could be the screen itself, which based on your description would be the CCFL or EL/LED Backlight.

so basically what your saying is you can see the text on the screen, but its dark now, like there is no light?
are there any missing lines?

tried taking a picture but my camera phone is so shit you cant make anyhting out.

the light for the screen is still on and fine, everything is fine but there is like a grey cover over everything, i can still make out words and see the audio etc everything but theres a dark screen on top of it....?

well did you adjust the contrast?

if its Akai's OS just Hold SHIFT and turn the Wheel or hit the - or + keys and that should adjust it.

I know that sounds really obvious. but you didn't mention having tried it yet so.. yea

yea no i tried that before and hasnt done anyhting.

i was thinking of myabe just install the os again
