Tact switches for MPC 3000

I know these are for the MPC 60

but do they work for the MPC 3000 too? I thought there was talk of a two pronged one for the 3K, or that the 3K doesn't use two of the prongs, so you're soldering for no reason (2x as much)

The TACT switches on my 3k have two legs and they are centered on the switch, not on the sides as the one you have pictured.

Are these Tact switches user replaceable? I'm pretty good with electronics. I would rather do it myself then pay for a service tech.

They're through hole mounted, so if you are able to unsolder changing them shouldn't be an issue.

nah, I already switched out all the switches on a 60II a while back, my fingers hurt for a few days after, but it's no big deal really...but then again I enjoy soldering

What do you use to solder?..the wattage of you soldering iron, type of flux and so on.I haven't done it in a while and i don't want to mess up my MPC 3000.

I just got them in from Mouser and they are waaay too long, now I have to return them and try to find the right part number

This is the right part.

The leads are extra long. You have to clip the leads once you've soldered, much like you do with resistors and most other through hole mount electronics....
