Complete noob in need of info

Hi everyone I'm new here and completely new to sampling. I've been making electronic music for a while but I've never used a sampler. I'm wondering if there's a sampler that will take full songs so that I can set backing tracks (drums/synth etc.) off by just pressing the button so I don't have to use an mp3 player anymore. Is there a limit to the length of a sample? I'm not too fussed about using a load of FX or anything, just need to be able to load up about 10 different backing tracks and maybe a couple of sample noises to throw in when I need them.

Yeah you'll need to expand the memory first tho mate.You only get about 2 mins sample time with 16mb.

2 mins total? How much expansion would I need for a 45 min set then? Also, can you do that with any mpc? Cheers

The mpc can play complete songs when u have sequenced the samples with the mp. This way u can load up a lot of songs at the same time in ur ram.

If u want to use ur songs as one sample then u will need a lot of ram.
Then u might be better of with a laptop.

Thats a good point. Can you sequence a full set of songs? Surely that must be time consuming

Given age and price, the Instant Replay is overpriced for the purpose and out of date. Any DJ media player will do the same thing at a fraction of the cost and twice the functionality. It was a great piece in it's prime but it's relic for live stage use today.

Ableton Live (session view can do everything you need)

you dont want an mpc what you want is called "instant replay" made by "360Systems" it will give you 50 hot keys to instantly access your back beats in song mode at the push of a button. you can also create play lists to just hit play once and do your show. its actually a little known gem that almost all pro rappers use to do shows. the mpc is made to make music. the replay is made to play it back flawlessly. and it does.

Have you tried a direct box with the ground lift turned on ?
