MPC1000 ? 2000XL ? MPK49 ?

Hi everyone Im Intruja , A independent artist from Portugal who is looking to go forward in the music creation / beatmaking ... My background is rap music in the basement (love me or hate me lol) and in short terms Im a fast learner with the fire for MUSIC !

I have past experience in sequencing programs and Im trying to make the bridge from computer sampling / sequencing to Mpc hardware and perhaps using midi and vst too ....

Im kinda stuck here I got nice prices to used material reported before what would be the best choice ? Although I never pass the basic steps of mpc I had previous experiences with friends and it looks awesome but I really need a helping hand on this ... MPK would be good for me cause it would come with the keyboard which in any case I need but I dont know about physical memory and functions ...

MPK49 is just a midi keyboard. there's no sequencer or sampler in there!

go and read everything you can about these machines, and you'll know what will suit you best!! it's not that hard. and if you have specific questions, i'm sure you'll find answers here...

If u want to keep it oldschool basement sample flipping hiphop get the 2000xl if ur not affraid of using floppys/ zipdisks (or u'r lucky and find one with a mc reader) and a slower machine.

If u want to grow in the future and cover more ground then just hiphop I would go for a more versatile newer features holding beatmachine like the 1k.

Personally, I'd go for the 1000. The 2000 is nice but if you plan on doing a whole lot with computers, it couldn't get any easier than it is on the 1000. Plug in USB and you should be golden. The 2000XL is nice but a little more difficult if you plan on manipulating your samples with a computer and moving them to the sampler. Still a decent option. The MPK looks nice but there have been problems with the build quality and so fourth.

So, check ebay for a second-hand 1000 with new pads(make sure it has the new pads) and you should be golden.
