lil help with this

hey what up fellas i just went out and bought a guitar. not to expensive but something to learn before i buy something that 's going to cost a lot. right.

any ways i know some of you in here must play the guitar , where can i find a good lesson program or something on that tip to teach me how to play the guitar. or just the basic's of it , as i dont know sh!t about how to play, but then again i didn't know sh!t about the mpc.

well if anyone can give me a link or some info on where to find some info lesson's on how to play it ,would be highly appreicated..

I bought a guitar a few years ago. I took about three lessons to get me started. I highly recommend a lesson or two. Then I bought this: http://www.emedia.org/gm1.html

It opened up a whole new world. You got to be commited. I play a few instruments, but the guitar was by far the hardest to get up to speed on, but probably the most satisfying. Its akward at first and you fingers get sore. Keep practicing.

The best way is to just play. I learned playing along to my favorite songs. After awhile I was like damn, I don't need to do that anymore and shit just flowed out of me from there. Just gotta play a lot, and do your own freestyling. This is just how I learned though, some do well with the lessons. I never had the patience for reading music.

play until your fingers hurt- build up those callouses! klearn all your chords and start doing some scale excersizes...once you broken your hands in it becomes easier....

do you read music at all? i dont think its necessary but playing scales and basic peices will be good for your technique....get you used to playing and getting the notes to sound properly.
as long as you play everyday, practice the basic stuff over and over, and keep playing
simple(r) stuff to start with, before you know it you will hear yourself getting better.

caprice you dont need to read music...hardly any guitarists do...learn the scales and chords, break your fingers in and let the muxic flow...

i don't know how to read music. and does anyone know where i can get some info on basic's of guitaring or were i can find the scales.

i want to just be able to make some acoustic bass lines with the guitar for some of my tracks, yeah i dont want my notes to sound out of key.

it came out after beat street in the early 80"s was not to good of a movie but it is classic , force mc's came out in this movie they did that song tender love. just a little history

WHUT?!?! You never heard of Rappin', now that is Ol Skool Fa Sho. As far as Guitar scales go to Google and type in Pentatonic Scales and it will bring them up for you. Def learn your chords and those scales. I just started too and your fingers will hurt a little, but not too much. (depending on how aggressive you are at it)

you should pick up "Guitar Grimoire - Scales & Modes" it has all the scales and modes that you'll need. Great book
