connection problems...

Hello ppl. my 500 arrived yesterday and ive been on it since then. I have read most of the manual and watched a lot of tutorial vids and scoped this forum up n down.

Trouble is when i connect to my PC via USB and see it is connected on the MPC, my PC picks it up in the botton corner but only gives me the option to safley remove the MPC.

Its not in 'My Computer' either, only my hard drives and my disc drives as normal.

ive ran a search for it but nuthin.

Also i am unable to save to my memory cards. when i press DO IT after selecting what sequence / sample i wanna save, i get nothing. nothing happens.

I got the MPC 2nd hand, it looks new. Is it ****?

it's pretty hard to determine whether you're actually doing these things correctly. When you're connected to your pc are you actually going into load mode on the mpc and selecting the USB option? When you're saving, are you actually saving in save mode, and not from the sequence mode? Also, is your CF card formatted?

yeah, im doing everything properley. I know what it is now tho and im well gutted.

One of the pins in the memory card slot is bent. I got it off ebay the son of a **** i have been real pissed off 2nyt.

yeah ive seen that, but even if i get that, how am i gna get the memory card into my MPC?

on that site u can buy a new memory card slot but it means taking the thing apart, i tried opening it after unscrewin the screws but it seems like it dont wanna open.
I dnt want to **** it up even more !
