Saving old HD to computer drive

I want to upgrade my harddrive on the 4k./ I think I have the "DeathStar" and it kinda troublesome to worry about the potential problems. So I want to dump all of my old drive data to my computers HD, how do I set this up and execute? How do I get all the info back onto my new drive? Also what is the ideal replacement drive for the 4k?

Get yourself an 80gig IBM, I think the IBM's are the most reliable
drives (as do the tests in computers mags)

I'm not sure if the 4k can address more that 80 gigs but you may
want to try, if it works let us know

For now just open the 4k and remove the hd, be carefull though
and if your not familiar around the inside of computers you may
want to ask a friend who know's how to do this.

Then hook up the drive to your pc, as well as the new drive and
copy all data from the original hd to the new destination drive.

Then simply build the new drive back into your mpc and you're
good to go...

Maybe this discription lacks a bit of detail because I'm so used to
working the insides of computers that some things may seem to
obvious.
