Yea, that is dope. If the Akai Professional could be red along with the trim around the display it would be one of the best IMO. Simple and clean.

the color looks nice, but the sp screen and all those knobs look horrible

long time reader, first time poster. not sure if anones is actually gonna be interested in this but here goes

for those that care.
The wood is a native timber to New Zealand called Rimu. very nice feel. great for when your rocking live and need to go to the happy place (woosa woosa etc). The next few things will be pads and buttons and then a colour scheme. any suggestions?

how do you access the internal drive slot though? do you have to lift it out of that case to change cf cards or disks?

that is of course solved by....... using the external slot

i've always had an external zip drive, works fine for me

yeah, i made it myself. i was supposed to start making more of these and selling them a few years
back but due to school and
family expansion plans and everything i did not have the time.
i still got a couple of these stands, but in different colors.
who knows, might start making these again one day,
i have to admit i have been thinking of some new designs.. with some real fancy woodworking gimmicks!
