I have to vouch for the aw2816, it's a great piece especially when sampling you have eq libraries for various instruments so you can really beef up your sounds copming into your mpc.

Yamaha 01x is worth a shot.

Howcome no one ever talks about the Yamaha 01x in this place. I've been hearing people say that it's amazing elsewhere? It seems like the perfect small studio solution?
