Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

hi,
I will need my mpc for live gigs, and as I know it's impossible to start each song (or sequence) by assigning it to each pad. So I see that only oportunity is to play sequences. But when I have several sequences prepared, MPC plays it one by one withou stopping. Its unacceptable and uncomfortable during gigs. So - is it possible to TURN OFF THE PLAYBACK REPEAT FOR SEQUENCES? It means: if one sequence finishes, mpc stops playing. Then I make short break and start another song when I need it then. [Or maybe i'm wrong, and its possible to assign song (or sequence) to each pad?]

QUestion to all who performance with mpc - what are yours experiences? What is the most convienient way to use it?

thanks for help

can u resample on the 500? if so, u can assign whole sequences to pads.

if not, u can just create short drums breaks and/or interludes to play in the sequence to intro /outro new beat/old beat

get it?

resampling is good but just for one/two songs. I need to have about 50 minutes of material on a stage, to start when I need it. So, only possibility is to use sequencer with previously prepared songs. But problem is, that when I start first song, it doesnt stop when its finished, the next sequence is starsting playing (or the same repeats, if its only one uploaded). So I would like to turn off the repeat mode in playback.

Or find any other solution to play separated songs during gig, only by pressing one button at beginning (I play guitar so I cannot stop them when it doesnt stop by MPC)

the worst thing is that its impossible to assign songs to pads.
its could be easy and very convenient option, so I wonder why akai didn't considered it in their software...
