Tuning for Keyboards

Can anyone tell me how far I have to tune an "E" sample to produce an E-flat, and a D. And to make the E-Sharp and the "f" would it be the same ratio, just positive instead of negative?

Also, if I save a program (with sounds) to Zip/floppy on my MPC, then with my PC copy it to CD-R, will my MPC recognize and load these off of the CD-Rs? I figured it would but I should ask while I was here. Thanks.

a value of 10 equals a half step. So E to Eb would be -10 and to D would be -20.

I don't know for sure 'bout the CD R question. Its possible I jus dont know the procedure, I'm sure somebody else does.

ive tried the cdr thind ,and it does work (sort of) ,it seems to miss some samples for some reason ,no matter what i name them ,it just cant find them when its loading.it doesnt work at all with re-writable disks,not sure why .

Saving to CDR will work as long as all filenames are 8 characters or less.

i tried to put my kits on cd how do u do it i couldnt get my mpc to read any of it. the names were all less than 8 charachters whats the deal was i using a bad cd-r?

I have the same problem as "electroschmuck". Then I try to load a "*.aps" file from cd it misses some of the samples. But thre is nothing wrong with the samples. I can load them one by one. Strange..?..

If I copy the files from the cd back to zip, everything is ok again.
