**** Im out of memory

Alright so I have just been using the internal hard drive and I am uploading the samples I wanna use then my drums and when I was doin the music sample I had it said I ran out of memory. So this means I should get a flash card yes? I was just wondering on what to get cause I think the machine says it does 2 GB ones but I remember reading a while ago some dude put an 8 GB in his and it works fine. Just wanted to know if this works before I buy a 8 GB one that I cant use. Thanks.

Man this beats real cool though, its that if loving you is wrong sample by luther ingram. My friend did it already and he was gonna send me it to rap on but hes been flaking so I figured hey its just a sample I will make it myself. But ya I just got the verse done and need to go re chop the sample for the hook and its not lettin me.

So whats one more? But ya, didnt really answer my question.

your question is not clear to me, when do you get out of memory ? what action are you doing ?

anyway, probably your memory is full, has nothing to do with adding more flash
you can expand your memory up to 192MB that's it...

It was running out when either I loaded up a new sample or else when I was converting it to sliced samples to a new program.

you need ram.
not storage.

you "out of memory " error was referring RAM.


if you don't know the difference between RAM and storage. I suggest "computers for dummies"

Also, when installing the Mem, you need to be extra careful. If you install it wrong, you can screw up your MPC, giving it loading errors...

I did 4gb.. Honestly, I would just stick with 2gb. The 5k is too finnicky when it comes to stuff like that and it could make your MPC flake out or act funny..

why would you need that much space anyway? I just use my CF card to load the OS..

Alright Toranaga that was bad on my part bro sorry I called you a dick. Reading over your post it really wasnt offensive man my bad. Just reading the word dummie kind of sounded offensive and I didnt think it out all the way through ya know? Good suggestion though but I am pretty good on computers I just dont know everything and I am weaker in some areas stronger in others and I know it sounds dumb but I never really needed to know a whole lot about the difference in ram and storage and all that cause so far things have worked alright without all my intense knowledge in that area.

Thanks kryptic, now that you mention it I suppose its not really worth the risk. I cant load all of my drum samples but I am only like 10 mb short so I am sure 2 gigs would be enough.
