1000 slicing converts stereo to mono?

Hi,

...and I was surprised to read that slicing on the 1000 converts stereo to mono.

Does the 2000xl do this?
Why would they make it like this? It seems like a big price to pay for slicing.

Also, I'm thinking of doing most of my slicing on my computer, because I like the fine control of a mouse. Given the fact that it's more difficult to get files from computer to unit in the 2000xl, would you recommend going for the 1000? Or is it really not that hard to transfer to the 2000xl?

I don't know wether the 2kxl converts slices to mono or not.
If u have a mcd reader in ur 2kxl and ur pc it's not that complex to exchange files between the mpc and the pc.
hook it up thru usb is easier indeed. Mind that all the JJOS versions can handle stereo slices.

The comparison in that link is outdated.
