That helped. I appreciate it. I tried to move those makers but it messes stuff up. I move them and I ended up wit first part playin slowly then the tempo speed up. I don't get the warpin I guess.

I dont want to timestretch it. I wanna chop each part and replay it. I dont want loop it. I seems like the warpin is perfect if i had a part i wanted to loop but i wanna chop it which sucks because when i move those markers, it time stretches my slices.

i been light live user since v6, full time since 8...never had problem with quantize...what's the issue that you're having ?

I barely scratched live's surface but can tell you that it's mad easy to use and fluent workflow

Ok I Recant my statement on the sucky quantize, i had to go into one of the menus and "Record Quantize". because just using quantization on the main interface wasnt working , but im cool now. i appreciate the help though. would you happen to know how to turn the velocity off , im gonna end up breaking my friggin keyboard, lol.

glad you got that worked out as far as turning velocity off insert Live's MIDI Velocity plugin into the chain before whatever you want to trigger, and set it to "Fixed" and assign the desired velocity output

I hear ya , i did see that Jazzy Jeff uses Ableton, but only a few hip hop cats said in vids they use it , but didnt go in depth.

Everyone uses live for djin! Where are the hiphop production videos? BBoyspaz's videos are good except for the fact that he uses arrangement view and chops, piece by piece, and then doubles it and moves it. I know this isnt the most efficient way. I want to be done mpc like. Chop the samples with markers then set them up in the drum rack (16 pads). I cant believe there are no videos on how to do this. And also how to make samples cut each other off. I read something about choke groups but again they didnt explain how to do it.
